About the Firm
MitraHukum is a legal services firm established to provide legal assistance grounded in careful analysis, clarity of advice, and responsibility for outcomes. The firm works across business and personal legal matters, with an emphasis on understanding context and practical implications alongside the applicable law.
The firm is led by Hesti Setyowati, Managing Partner, an Indonesian advocate. She was formerly a partner at a top-tier Indonesian law firm and has also served as in-house legal counsel for major companies in the oil and gas sector. This combination of private practice and in-house experience informs a practical approach to legal advice, shaped by an understanding of how legal decisions are made and implemented within companies.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws (S.H.) degree from the University of Indonesia and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from Leiden University, and is a Certified Legal Auditor. Her practice reflects a preference for thorough assessment, realistic evaluation of legal options, and early identification of legal and practical risks.
Where appropriate, Mitra Hukum assembles and coordinates a matter-specific team to ensure the right expertise is available. The firm remains the primary point of contact and ensures the engagement proceeds in a structured and consistent manner.
